If you’re looking for a treatment that’s more powerful than an at-home skincare routine, but you’re not quite ready for laser resurfacing, why not try chemical peels? Chemical peels uses medical-grade skincare ingredients to remove dead skin, improve skin cell turnover, treat signs of aging and even stimulate collagen production. As a result, they can help your complexion appear more uniform and renewed, taking years off your appearance.
Professional Chemical Peels at Artemedica
Here at Artemedica, we offer medical-grade chemical peels from top brand SkinMedica. Our series of chemical peels help reveal a brighter, more youthful complexion by diminishing the appearance of hyperpigmentation and signs of aging. Our chemical peels can treat:
Illuminize Peel
The Illuminize chemical peel is our most gentle treatment and perfect for mild skin imperfections. This superficial treatment uses a novel approach to chemical peels with alpha-hydroxy acids combined with phytic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol to maximize results with little irritation. The Illuminize helps reveal vibrant, radiant looking skin that is more even both in tone and texture.
Plus, because this treatment has little to no downtime, you can even have it done the same day as a major event or occasion. It’s so gentle, you won’t even experience visible peeling! And because it’s so gentle on the skin, it is a great introductory chemical peel for new clients.
Vitalize Peel
The Vitalize chemical peel is our most popular treatment and great for those with mild to moderate skin imperfections. The Vitalize uses three powerful ingredients—lactic acid, resorcinol and salicylic acid—to treat wrinkles and fine lines caused by sun damage and aging, as well as hyperpigmentation and uneven skin texture caused by acne scarring and melasma. Not to mention, as an added benefit, this chemical peel stimulates collagen production deep in the dermis, so results get better with time.
Because the Vitalize chemical peel is more powerful than the Illuminize, you will experience some peeling and redness afterwards. This should last roughly 7 days. And during this time, you will want to limit sun exposure, wear 30 SPF sunscreen and avoid irritating skin care products. For best results, we suggest a series of 3-6 treatments scheduled every 3-4 weeks.
Rejuvenate Peel
The Rejuvenate chemical peel is our most powerful treatment designed to penetrate deep into the layers of the dermis for maximum results. This chemical peel is designed to treat serious skin imperfections, and therefore uses an advanced combination of peeling agents including lactic acid, salicylic acid, resorcinol and a high concentration of retinol. Therefore, it is reserved for those with moderate to severe skin imperfections like serious sun damage, severe melasma and hyperpigmentation, as well as deep-set wrinkles.
Because this is our most powerful chemical peel, you should expect some downtime and recovery. Peeling and redness may last up to 2 weeks. Like the Vitalize, you will want to limit sun exposure, wear 30 SPF sunscreen and avoid irritating skin care products. And while you may see some results after one treatment, we recommend 3-6 peels scheduled every 6-8 weeks for the most compelling results.
