What is PRP?

What is PRF?

With PRF production, no coagulant is used which allows fibrin to form. The sample is also spun slower in the centrifuge to preserve a higher concentration of platelets as well as: 

• Fibrinogen: a glycoprotein that encourages blood clotting; 
• Stem cell: a type of cell that self-renewals and replenishes rapidly lost cell types; 
• White blood cell: a type of blood cell that participate in the body’s immune system.

This thicker fibrin matrix not only retains a stronger concentration of growth factors, but also signals the platelets to release their growth factors more slowly. And because the release is so slow and prolonged, PRF is ideal for tissue regeneration and growth stimulation.  

What is PBF? 

If PRF is a better version of PRP, then imagine that pure biofill is a better version of PRF. With pure biofill (PBF), your PRF sample is spun and immediately placed in a temperature-controlled warming chamber to transform your sample into a gel.  

The gel structure of PBF allows the resulting fibrin matrix to stay in place longer. Whereas PRP releases platelets over the course of a few hours and PRF over the course of a few days, PBF releases platelets over the course of a few weeks for maximum efficacy. Plus, the gel consistency localizes the platelets and their growth factors for concentrated application.
